CNUE Annual Report 2017

José Manuel García

President’s Foreword

The digitalisation of economic activities is a challenge and a priority that we share with the European institutions. Technological developments influence consumption patterns and the demands of our clients. Digital contracts, virtual identities, blockchain, artificial intelligence, digital heritage: these words are in tune with the times, with legal issues to be resolved and practical solutions to be found.

With a view to consolidating the digital single market, the European Commission is particularly active at legislative level: the Directive on online contracts and the supply of digital content, the creation of a single digital gateway and the company law legislative package.
