In December 2015, the European Commission presented two proposals for directives on certain aspects concerning contracts for the online and other distance sales of goods and on certain aspects concerning contracts for the supply of digital content. While work in the European Parliament and the Council of the EU on the proposal concerning the supply of digital content is progressing, in November the European Commission published an amended proposal to replace the proposal for a Directive on online and other distance sales of goods with the aim of extending the scope to all sales of goods to consumers. The CNUE expressed its views on the subject in a position paper dated March 2016.
