Following the publication in 2016 of the proposal to revise Regulation (EC) No 2201/2003 on jurisdiction, the recognition and enforcement of decisions in matrimonial matters and the matters of parental responsibility, known as the Brussels IIa Regulation, interinstitutional negotiations continued throughout the year. The discussions are closely followed by the CNUE and the notariats which have competence in divorce and parental responsibility matters and which issue acts compatible with the regulation currently in force.
